Refund and cancellation policy

Initial consultation and lesson

The 45-minute initial consultation and lesson costs $75 and is booked and paid online before the appointment.

• You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice.
• If you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice and do not wish to reschedule, the $75 payment will be refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment and no-shows are not refundable.
• Once the consultation has been completed, its fee is not refundable.

Online enrollment after the consultation

Monthly enrollment is offered after the initial consultation. Your enrollment agreement and recurring-payment authorization will be sent electronically for you to review and accept online. You will not be required to sign or accept the monthly agreement during the in-home consultation.

Monthly plans and automatic payments

Monthly plans include four lessons per month. Tuition is charged automatically on the first day of each month using your authorized payment method.

You may cancel recurring lessons at any time by emailing hello@yourguitarcoach.com before the next billing date. We will acknowledge your request and confirm your final billing date in writing. Cancellation stops future charges but does not create a refund for a month that has already begun.

Monthly tuition is not refundable after the billing cycle begins, except when Your Guitar Coach cannot provide a coach-cancelled lesson or reasonable substitute, a duplicate or incorrect charge is confirmed, or a refund is required by law.

Student cancellations and rescheduling

• At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
• With at least 24 hours' notice, we will make a reasonable effort to reschedule the lesson within the same monthly billing cycle.
• Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice and no-shows are forfeited and are not refundable, reschedulable, or creditable.
• Rescheduled lessons have no cash value, may not be transferred, and do not roll over to a future billing cycle unless agreed in writing.

Coach cancellations

If Your Guitar Coach cancels a lesson, you will be offered a rescheduled appointment or an account credit. If neither can reasonably be provided, you will receive a prorated refund for that lesson.

Emergencies and exceptional circumstances

Illness, family emergencies, severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, and similar events will be considered individually. Any exception or courtesy credit is discretionary and does not change this policy for future appointments.

Refund requests

Email refund requests to hello@yourguitarcoach.com with the student's name, payment date, and reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and initiated within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the refund.

Legal rights

This policy does not take away any cancellation or refund rights provided by law. If the law gives you greater protection than this policy, the law will apply.
