Kenny Demery
Kenny is a patient private guitar teacher with nearly two decades of experience helping students build musical skill, confidence, and independence.
From 2002 through 2020, Kenny owned and operated an in-home guitar lesson business serving elementary and middle school students. Today, Your Guitar Coach brings that experience to adult beginners and returning players in Cary, Apex, and Morrisville.
Teaching philosophy
The lesson is about the student, not the teacher.
Kenny's role is to listen, make the next step clear, and help each player build enough confidence to enjoy making music independently. Theory appears when it helps someone understand or play—not as homework for its own sake.
Lessons can begin with a favorite song, smoother chord changes, a first solo, renewed technique, or simply the desire to feel comfortable holding the guitar again. Each student leaves with a manageable practice plan built for a real adult schedule.
